The 'Gratitude' project will be opening with a kick-off meeting in the week commencing 12th March. All of the 16 partner organisations participating in the project will be coming together from Europe, Africa and Asia, to the Natural Resources Institute at the University of Greenwich Medway campus in Kent to begin the project work.
The purpose of the meeting is to inform partners about the project, to understand their roles in the project and how these relate to other partner outputs and activities, and to understand financial obligations and reporting systems. It will also advocate the importance of monitoring and evaluation, and the role of gender. The meeting will be a platform for forming working relationships and networks within the project partners with the goal of improving the incomes of people who rely on cassava and yams for food security, benefitting small and large scale enterprises, and improving the environment by reducing waste.
